How to Effectively Prevent Dust and Pollution in Horizontal Fertilizer Mixers?

Horizontal fertilizer mixers are core mixing equip ment in fertilizer production lines. In the production of powders, granules, organic fertilizers, and BB fertilizers, dust, pollution, and leakage prevention directly affect the production environment, product purity, and equipment lifespan. Through structural optimization and sealing design, dust-free operation and clean production can be achieved from the source.

The feed inlet adopts a closed flow guide structure, coupled with a flexible flange and sealing strips, to prevent powder from overflowing from the interface. For formulations with high dust levels, a negative pressure dust removal interface can be added, directly connected to the workshop dust removal system, to remove airborne dust in real time during mixing, maintaining a dust-free workshop.

The connection between the main shaft and the cylinder uses a multi-layer combined seal: an outer dustproof disc, a middle labyrinth seal, and an inner wear-resistant oil seal for triple protection. This prevents dust from entering the bearing chamber and prevents lubricating oil from contaminating the material, making it particularly suitable for easily dusty materials such as organic and inorganic fertilizers. The bearing housing is externally located, away from the material area, reducing wear and heat generation and extending service life.

The discharge gate uses a pneumatic quick-closing mechanism with a rubber sealing strip, ensuring a tight seal and preventing material or powder leakage. The small gap and high fit between the gate and the cylinder prevent dust from overflowing from the discharge port during mixing. The entire cylinder is a fully enclosed welded structure, eliminating weld seam leakage and preventing material residue and cross-contamination.

For organic fertilizer raw materials with high moisture content, the inner wall of the cylinder is lined with anti-stick and wear-resistant plates to reduce material adhesion and minimize dust generation during cleaning. Inspection ports and observation windows are equipped with sealing strips for easy opening and reliable sealing.

Through these designs, the horizontal mixer achieves fully enclosed, low-dust, and leak-free operation, improving the working environment while ensuring accurate fertilizer proportioning and stable quality. It is an ideal, efficient, and clean mixing equipment for modern bio-organic fertilizer produciton lines.
