What is the working principle of the chain compost turning machine?

The core working principle of the chain compost turning machine is: the chain drives the scraper/chain plate to perform a circular motion, forcibly grabbing, lifting, and throwing the fermented material forward, achieving sufficient contact between the material and the air, and simultaneously completing the displacement of the material and the renewal of the compost pile. This provides sufficient oxygen for aerobic fermentation and accelerates the decomposition of organic matter.

Its key process logic can be broken down into three points, precisely matching the fermentation needs of organic fertilizers and other materials:

1. Forced turning and mixing: The chain plate (or chain with scrapers) penetrates into the material pile, using the traction force of the circular transmission to sequentially grab and throw the bottom and middle layers of material upwards, breaking up the compacted layers and preventing localized anaerobic decomposition.

2. Oxygenation and heat dissipation: During the throwing process, the material forms sufficient convection with the air, allowing a large amount of oxygen to be incorporated into the material, while simultaneously carrying away the heat generated by fermentation. This controls the pile temperature within the suitable decomposition range of 55-65℃, killing pathogens and insect eggs.

3. Uniform decomposition + displacement: In the composting process of the bio organic fertilizer produciton line, the material is pushed forward a certain distance (matching the layout of the fermentation workshop), achieving a continuous process of "turning, decomposing, and advancing," eliminating the need for additional manual material handling and improving fermentation efficiency.

This principle is suitable for large-tonnage, high-moisture organic fertilizer fermentation scenarios, especially suitable for trough-type fermentation processes. It is a core composting and fermentation equipment in large-scale organic fertilizer production, effectively shortening the fermentation cycle (usually 15-25 days) and improving the uniformity and maturity of the finished fertilizer.
