How to Ensure Safe Operation of Horizontal Fertilizer Mixers
To ensure the safe operation of horizontal fertilizer mixers, control measures must be implemented in three stages: pre-startup inspection, standardized operation during use, and post-shutdown maintenance:
1. Comprehensive pre-startup inspection: Confirm that all bolts on the fertilizer produciton machine are securely fastened and not loose, and that the transmission belts are properly tensioned and undamaged; check that there are no residual fertilizer clumps or hard foreign objects (such as metal or stones) in the mixing chamber to prevent damage to the blades after startup; verify that the electrical system and emergency stop switch are sensitive and effective, and that safety devices such as protective railings are intact.
2. Strict and standardized operation during use: It is strictly prohibited to start the equipment with material inside. The equipment must be started empty and allowed to run stably before feeding material at a uniform speed through the matching feeding device, avoiding overloading or inconsistent feeding speeds; during operation, operators must not approach the rotating parts of the horizontal fertilizer blender, and must not put their hands or tools into the mixing chamber; if any abnormal noise or violent vibration occurs, immediately stop the machine and cut off the power, and troubleshoot the problem only after the equipment has completely stopped.
3. Post-shutdown maintenance and cleaning: After operation, first cut off the power, then clean the residual fertilizer in the chamber to prevent material clumping from affecting future use; regularly check the wear and deformation of the mixing blades and repair or replace them promptly; lubricate bearings, gears, and other transmission components to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
