Horizontal Fertilizer Mixer: A Powerful Tool for Uniform Mixing in Fertilizer Production

 In the fertilizer produciton line process, mixers are crucial for achieving uniform nutrient distribution in organic fertilizers. Horizontal fertilizer mixers, with their efficient mixing capabilities, are the preferred choice for small and medium-sized fertilizer plants. Structurally, a horizontal fertilizer mixer consists primarily of a cylindrical mixing drum, twin-shaft helical blades, a drive motor, and inlet/outlet ports. The mixing drum is horizontally positioned, with the twin-shaft helical blades rotating in opposite directions. This structure creates convection circulation within the drum—not only axial propulsion but also radial interpenetration.

 

Horizontal mixers offer significant advantages over vertical mixers. Its horizontal structure reduces material stacking height and the impact of gravity on mixing, making it particularly suitable for mixing raw materials with varying specific gravities. Its dual-shaft design enhances mixing efficiency. Furthermore, the wear-resistant material used in the cylinder wall, combined with adjustable blade gaps, effectively reduces material residue and eases cleaning.

 

In practice, horizontal fertilizer mixers are widely used in the production of compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and biofertilizers. They can process both dry powdered raw materials and materials containing a certain amount of moisture, and the mixing accuracy can be flexibly controlled by adjusting the mixing time. As agricultural requirements for fertilizer quality increase, horizontal fertilizer mixers, with their stable performance, have become an indispensable "mixer of uniformity" in fertilizer production lines.
